Socio-economic project seminar I+II

In the project seminar, you will work in a small group to conduct your own empirical research project. You will experience the entire research process, from developing a research question and planning the study to collecting and analyzing data and presenting your findings.

Throughout the seminar, you will apply social science research methods in a practical setting while deepening your methodological knowledge. At the same time, you will develop skills in academic research, project management, and the written and oral presentation of research results. The seminar also provides the opportunity to engage critically with the current state of research on a specific topic.

Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of quantitative social science research methods and be willing to work with academic literature in English.

The project seminar is offered every semester and spans two consecutive semesters. Information on the current project seminar and its thematic focus can be found here.
